A dog-owner's guide to AIRSIDE
AIRSIDE works best when a meal is one part of a longer Kai Tak outing, rather than a quick stop with a dog in tow. The mall sits above Kai Tak MTR and its pet access is deliberately mapped: AIRSIDE Plaza and the indoor mall area on G/F, AIR Farm on 2/F, and AIRSIDE Garden on 6/F are the published pet-friendly zones. Start by deciding which of those spaces you actually want to use. That avoids treating a pet-friendly mall as if every corridor and shop followed the same rule.
The restaurant directory linked to this address includes Asura, The Cipollini Pizzeria, Kuni Kuni Cafe & Lounge, Captain's Fish and Chips Bar, Luna, Gooca, Grind & Brew and Nam Nam Vietnamese Cuisine. That is useful for choosing a cuisine before you leave home, but it is not permission to bring a dog to the table. AIRSIDE asks visitors to check each tenant's rules before entering or dining, so call the restaurant directly if your plan depends on indoor seating or a stroller beside the table. A café visit may be practical, but the final decision belongs to the operator on the day.
For the dog, the practical advantage is the support around the visit. Concierge can lend a pet stroller and drinking bowl, and can provide waste bags and diapers on request. The borrowed items require a deposit and are for use within AIRSIDE, so bring your own carrier if you need one for the journey home. The garden and farm areas give the trip a clearer rhythm: arrive, take a short walk in a permitted zone, then settle your dog before trying a restaurant.
Drivers should budget for HK$25 an hour Monday to Friday and HK$28 an hour on weekends and public holidays. Weekday day parking is HK$140 from 8am to 7pm, while the nightly option is HK$90 from 9pm to 8am. Same-day electronic spending can reduce the bill: HK$200 gives one hour or HK$300 gives three on weekdays; the weekend and holiday thresholds are HK$300 for one hour and HK$500 for two. NF Touch members receive one extra hour, up to five free hours per visit. Redeem at the G/F or 2/F concierge before leaving.
The sensible plan is simple: bring proof of your restaurant booking or call, keep to the named pet zones, and treat the published parking terms as something to check again before a long meal. AIRSIDE has the ingredients for an easy dog day out, but the details matter.
