A dog-owner's guide to APM
APM is a practical Kwun Tong stop when you want to combine a meal, an errand and a short outing with your dog. The useful distinction is between the L2 apm Garden and the rest of the building. At the people-and-pet shared space near Food Fiesta, pets may walk on a leash. Elsewhere, they need to be hand-carried or placed in a stroller or carrier. Plan around that difference instead of assuming your dog can stay on the ground while you browse.
The restaurant records for this address do not currently provide a reliable shortlist in our directory. That does not mean the mall has no food options. It means the dog-friendly restaurant directory should not be used to infer access at a particular outlet. APM says restaurants and supermarkets set their own rules. If eating with your dog is the point of the trip, ask the restaurant about its current arrangement before travelling, especially whether a carrier or stroller is accepted at its seating area.
The garden is the natural pause in the visit. Let your dog have that leashed walk first, then move through the indoor floors with the carrier or stroller ready. This is also the safest way to manage a late-night mall trip, since the published entry window in the notes runs from 9am to 2am. Keeping the transition simple makes it easier for staff and other visitors too.
Parking is HK$28 an hour for private cars every day. The published parking page also says The Point members can redeem parking hours with points through the New Town Malls app, up to five free hours per visit. A separate current member offer in the mall notes gives one free parking hour and a HK$50 voucher for a HK$150 single spend on weekends and public holidays, subject to redemption at C/F Customer Service before exit and the stated daily quota. Because promotions change, check the live terms before relying on either offer.
APM suits a dog owner who is happy to use a stroller or carrier for most of the visit and treat the L2 garden as the proper walking portion. Confirm the food plan first, use the shared garden respectfully, and leave time to redeem parking before you drive out.
