The full guide

A dog-owner's guide to GO PARK Sai Sha

GO PARK Sai Sha is built for the outdoor part of a dog day out. Nearly 500,000 square feet of outdoor space allows leashed pets, and outdoor pet-friendly dining seats are available. The 2/F Pet Park runs daily from 10am to 8pm and has five pet facilities, shaded seats, pet parking and drinking fountains. Indoors, pets must be leashed, hand-carried or in a stroller or bag. One owner may bring up to two pets; a muzzle is strongly recommended for pets over 20kg or 40cm.

Milk Caf and Chill Dim Sum are the address-linked restaurant entries. The complex says only guide dogs may enter restaurants and supermarkets, so use the outdoor pet-friendly seating and confirm the restaurant's current arrangement first. Customer Care at Block E G/F lends strollers and bowls for a deposit and on-site use, and provides diapers. Call 3168 2528 if the loan matters to your route. Pets cannot enter Adventure Land, Skate Park, Playground or designated Sky Park areas.

Parking is HK$20 an hour weekdays and HK$24 on weekends and holidays. The Point members can redeem 2 hours for HK$100 or 3 for HK$200 on weekdays, and 1 hour for HK$200 or 2 for HK$400 on weekends and holidays, from 10am to 10pm. Spending after 6pm at different merchants adds one hour. Day and overnight parking are HK$90 in their stated periods.

The distinction between outdoor seating and restaurant entry matters here. The complex gives dogs room outside, but the stated rule for restaurants and supermarkets is limited to guide dogs. Choose a table only after the venue confirms its outdoor arrangement, and keep the dog away from the listed restricted recreation areas. The loan service can make a last-minute visit easier, although it is on-site only and requires a deposit. Parking rewards also have member, time, and spend conditions, so treat them as a useful saving rather than the reason to extend the visit.

Walk outdoors, use the Pet Park, and treat indoor food as an outdoor-seating plan. That is how GO PARK's rules fit together.

A personal leash, water plan, and shade break remain useful even with the site facilities, particularly on a long outdoor visit.
