The full guide

A dog-owner's guide to Hysan Place

Hysan Place is a Causeway Bay mall with straightforward transport access through Causeway Bay MTR Exit F2, but its dog access needs confirmation before each visit. The official directory lists The Dog's Garden at Shop 709, which makes the building useful for a pet-supply errand. Management and individual tenants should confirm the current dog-entry arrangement, so bring a carrier or stroller if you are not sure what a shop will accept.

The linked restaurant records are Gordo, Que, Grindie, Under Big Banyan, KiKi Noodle Bar and Match2 Taiwanese Kitchen. This is a practical shortlist when choosing food in the area, not a promise that a dog can enter. Contact the relevant branch before going, especially if you expect indoor seating. The listing of a pet shop in the mall does not automatically extend to restaurants.

Visitor hours on the official page are 10am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am to 11pm Friday, Saturday and public-holiday eves, although tenant hours may differ. Parking is HK$18 per half hour every day. Lee Gardens area electronic-payment or Octopus spending can give three free hours in Hysan Place Car Park: HK$400 Monday to Thursday except holidays, or HK$600 Friday to Sunday and holidays. Use up to two same-day machine-printed receipts with matching payment slips, and redeem at the 1/F concierge from 10am to 11pm.

This is best approached as a compact Causeway Bay stop. The Dog's Garden provides a concrete reason to visit with a pet, but it is not evidence that every floor or tenant permits dogs. Bring the carrier or stroller that gives you flexibility if the answer changes from one shop to another. The restaurant names are useful for comparing food options in the building, but any dog-dining plan still needs the restaurant's answer. When parking, retain both the machine-printed receipt and matching payment slip, since the published redemption requires both.

The sensible Hysan Place visit is supply stop first, restaurant confirmation second, and parking redemption last. That avoids making more of the published information than it says.

Because tenant hours vary, confirm the shop or restaurant time as well as its pet policy before travelling.
