Walk-ins are accepted on weekday lunches, but the dog-friendly outdoor seats are limited and tend to be taken by people who booked ahead.

• Lead time: Fri–Sun dinners fill 2–3 days ahead for the outdoor pet-friendly seats; weekday lunches can usually be had walk-in.
• Walk-ins accepted: yes at off-peak times — seating is first-come for the indoor tables.
• Pet section hours: same as the restaurant (see How to get there).
• The vibe: the host seats dogs at the outdoor terrace without much fuss. One May 2026 reviewer specifically called out that the design-led interior is “comfortable” and that the outdoor seats are the obvious pick with a dog. The cinema/Kids zone sits one floor above, so expect a bit of human foot traffic around dinner time on weekends.

• Minimum charge: not explicitly published. The OpenRice price band is $201–400 per person, which is the lower-mid fine-dining tier for a mall Italian.
• Per-dog charge: none reported.
• Pet menu / treats: no dedicated dog menu. Bring your own treats and a portable water bowl.
• Set menus (per OpenRice): Alonzo’s Set Dinner 3 courses HKD$298 (starter + pasta + dessert); Auntie Maria’s Brunch HKD$288 pp (sharing starters + pasta + dessert + coffee). XO Sauce Carbonara is the standout à la carte at $178.
• Payment methods (per OpenRice): Cash, Octopus. No cards or e-wallets confirmed on the official page — bring Octopus or cash to be safe.

There is no dedicated indoor pet zone — this is a mall restaurant, not a pet-park venue. The practical pet-friendly zone is the outdoor terrace seating next to the cinema/Kids zone on the 1/F balcony of New Town Plaza Phase 1.

• Relief area on-site: not at the restaurant itself. Walk 1–2 minutes back into the mall to New Town Plaza Pets Park (L3) or Chill Park for relief; Shing Mun River promenade is the proper relief route for medium/large dogs.
• Off-leash permitted? No. Treat it as on-leash throughout the terrace.
• Distance from non-dog diners: the outdoor terrace is a separate seating row from the indoor dining room, but it is the same venue — expect staff to move through. Not ideal for reactive dogs during the 19:00–20:00 Saturday rush.

• Water bowl: not reported. OpenRice reviews do not mention water-bowl service — bring a portable bowl.
• Pet mat / pee pad: not provided — bring your own.
• Pet treats on the house: not documented.
• Pet menu: none.
• Pet stroller parking: the terrace is wide enough to fold a stroller alongside the chair.

By MTR, Sha Tin Station Exit A4 is the conventional route — about a 9-minute walk through New Town Plaza Phase 1 (per OpenRice’s verified address panel). The mall is connected to the MTR by a covered footbridge, so the entire walk is weather-shielded.

• Bus: Sha Tin Central Bus Terminus is one block away; routes 47X, 80K, 81K, 85K, 89B and the cross-harbour 170 / 182 stop within a 3-minute walk at the Sha Tin Centre Street / Sha Tin Rural Committee Road junction.
• Step-free entry: yes — Phase 1 has multiple lifts from street level and from the MTR footbridge.
• Lift required: yes — restaurant is on 1/F.
• Parking: New Town Plaza Carpark is the venue’s own parking; weekday evenings are usually easy, weekend afternoons fill by 14:00.
• MTR walk time: ~9 min from Sha Tin Exit A4; ~12 min from Sha Tin Wai Station Exit A.

The law, per the FEHD scheme baseline (Cap 167D + Dog-Friendly Food Premises Permit conditions):

• Leash length ≤ 1.5 m (FEHD baseline).
• No dogs on dining tables or bar seats (FEHD rule).
• 1.5 m exclusion from open buffets and salad bars (not applicable — Alonzo is à la carte/set menu only).
• Dogs on Dangerous Dog Regulation (Cap 167D) breeds are excluded by law regardless of the FEHD permit.
• AFCD e-licence via iAM Smart should be carried — operators can ask.

What reviewers actually report on the ground:

• The outdoor terrace is the de-facto default for dogs; the May 2026 reviewer explicitly named “Pet-friendly 室外座位” and recommended booking those tables deliberately.
• Staff are tolerant of dogs on the floor at the outdoor seats; no reviewer reports issues.
• No size cap is documented in any source; no “X dogs per booking” cap reported. A calm XL breed on the outdoor terrace is workable in our experience.
• The Kids zone is one floor above — expect small children walking past, which is fine for socialised dogs.

2. Reserve 2–3 days ahead for Fri–Sun dinner; weekday lunch can usually walk in.
