Paws United Charity is a smaller, all-volunteer group (charity license 91/15901, animal-trader exemption ORG000102) running a beachside cat and dog adoption centre right in The Pulse, Repulse Bay. If you live on Hong Kong Island South or want a sea-breeze first meeting, this is the most pleasant layout in the city.
Where
- Dog Adoption Centre: Shop 210, the Pulse, 28 Beach Road, Repulse Bay, Hong Kong.
- Cat Adoption Centre: Shop 209 (same building).
Open daily 11:00–18:00, walk-ins welcome. Bookings via puc.hk/bookdog (dogs) and puc.hk/bookcat (cats) get priority.
The process
From the Animal Adoption page:
- Online first. Submit the Dog Adoption Form (English + 繁中), wait for the team to review, then arrange a meet.
- In-person. Walk in to the Repulse Bay centre between 11:00 and 18:00. Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments get priority. An online form and interview are still required before approval.
Return policy exists — if for any reason you can no longer care for the animal, the charity needs to be your first call. Don’t rehome privately.

What makes Paws United different
Most adoption centres are out of town. The Repulse Bay location is the only beachside dog adoption centre inside a shopping mall in Hong Kong — it makes for a relaxed first visit and pairs naturally with a walk along the South Bay promenade. The charity also runs the Inclusive Pets Park campaign, which is worth supporting if you care about wheelchair-accessible outdoor space.
